Make every effort to care for your skin..

Caring for your skin is a crucial step to looking and keeping your youthful appearance. When should you start with skin care? You should start a skin care regimen in your teenage year and continued as you age. Caring for your skin should be a daily routine at least morning and before bedtime. You should adopt a healthy skin care routine by starting at the very basic which is cleansing. You must clean with a gentle soap cleanser twice a day particularly morning and before bed time. Exfoliating is also very important for those with oily skin and also for those who uses a lot of make-up products on the face. You can be using the most expensive skin care products out there but without a good exfoliating regimen the products wont absorbed good into the skin and you will not be getting the best benefits out of the expensive products. As I would say it cleansing and moisturizing are the two root steps in great skin care.

There are a lot of skin care tips out there but I’m going to talk about the three very simple tips. As I know a lot of people out there don’t have the time to make it an everyday living regimen so therefore the three simple step to great skin is cleanse, moisturize and protect.

The first step in great skin care is finding a cleanser that is suitable for your skin type. There are five skin types. There is oily, dry, combination, sensitive, and blemished. Once you have determine your skin type you can start looking around trying on cleanser products that is best suitable for your skin type. Sometimes it takes a few tries until you have successful find a cleanser that will adapt to your skin.  Once you have found the right cleanser be sure to cleanse your skin in the morning and at night before bedtime or at the end of your long day.

The second step is to moisturize the skin after it has been cleansed. Moisturizers are beneficial for all skin types. Individuals with dry skin should moisturize as often as needed. Individuals with oily and combination skin types should use oil-free/non comedogenic /non-pore blocking moisturizers daily or twice daily. Individuals with sensitive skin should use products labeled hypoallergenic and ideally fragrance-free products. Why do we need to moisturize? Because moisturizers help prevent and treat dry skin, it also improves our skin tone and texture, and mask imperfections.

The third step is NEVER go out without a sunscreen. Did you know the secret of healthy and radiant skin is Sunscreen? If you didn’t, now you do. 😉 Therefore, don’t go outside without it even if it is not hot outside. So what is so important about sunscreen? Well first off sunscreen helps protect our skin from that powerful sun’s ray. Sun exposure leads to wrinkles and uneven pigmentation (brown spots/dark spots) by damaging the dermis of the skin (note: there are 3 layers of skin – the epidermis (outer), dermis (middle), and subcutaneous tissue (first layer/fat). If you’re in the sun all day it is recommended to reapply every few hours and use a SPF of at least 30. Sunscreen is also for everyone including kids who will be out in the sun.

It really is vital that we take care of our skin with just these three simple steps. Make every effort in your daily routine to do this at least twice a day to keep your skin in great looking condition. These three simple steps are not just for women but men too. Every person needs to have a skin care regimen and that is cleanse, moisturize and protect so make every effort to do this every single day to keep your youth and your skin looking flawlessly radiant, smooth, clear and poreless. One last note I like to add to your skin care regimen is to drink lots of water daily to help keep your skin hydrated and by means of drinking a lot of water is to drink half your water weight in ounces.
